Looking for a badminton club in York?

Burnholme Badminton Club is based in the east of York and has been welcoming badminton players from the York area for many years.

We are a friendly mixed badminton club in York, established over 20 years ago, and we play for fun, exercise and competition. In the 2024/25 season, we entered one mixed team into the York & District League and in 2025/26 season we are entering four teams: two mixed teams, one women’s team and one open team. We accept players aged 18 and over.

We play on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm at Burnholme Sports Centre, Mossdale Avenue York YO31 0HA.

We play with plastic shuttles and cater for experienced, intermediate and improving players. Unfortunately we are not able to take beginners. To maintain the standard of the club we require a minimum level of play.
